In this political cartoon, the message I think that is being implied is that Americans are upset by the fact that Mr. Barack Obama will be President for the next four years but they were the ones that put him there in the first place.   Also I always hear people complain about how well mr. Obama does and I just want to say that you are the one that put him there so you have to deal with it.  I think that the artist of the cartoon was successful in getting his point across because he is saying if he gets re-elected that will be foreshadowing the future with what he has done the past four years.  The author in my opinion didn't miscalcuate the situation because he or she was about as straight forward as it gets with what the country thinks.   The author most likely used an image for this I think for two reasons and those being first, to get a little comical with the situation.  Next reason is the picture gives the reader a better understanding of what the author is trying to get across.  I think the implied text for this cartoon would be the author doesn't support Obama but supports his counterpart.

Like I previously stated that the author is trying to tell the reader that our country will face the same problems we currently have if we re-elected Barack Obama.  This cartoon in my opinion is very bias against Obama and the author strongly wants the reader to agree with his/her beliefs.  The author included the text because it is what proves the point he makes on the consequences we will face by keeping Obama.  Also the text on the newspaper the man is holding tells the reader the negative things that the President has led us to.  Yes, I do believe that oppression helped further the author's cause because he constantly points out the flaws the President has had since being in office.  Another way the author uses is he makes the President seem that no matter what he does that he is certain to fail.  In my opinion, the author was successful in using the language to reach his audience because he has specific detail on why its a mistake to vote for Obama.  I came to this conclusion for two reasons.  First, just reading the text gave me a clear thought on the beliefs of the author.  The last reason is that the author gave a detailed description on how the President had done in office.
