Direct TV

In “Stop Taking in Stray Animals,” Direct TV did a good job in telling people to switch from cable to their network.  They did a good job with the graphics and sound effects.  The main thing Direct TV portrays in their advertisements is that they want you to switch from cable to Direct TV.  They list several reasons, both funny and realistic.  Direct TV emphasizes that when you have cable you are stressed out and unsatisfied, causing you to make a bad decision and then bad things happen to you.  Direct TV does a good job in their commercials.  While their customers will be adults their advertisements appear amusing and eye catching to all different types of audiences.  Direct TV gets their point across very clearly.  They catch people’s interest making them want to use their product.  Direct TV makes good advertisements and they also kind of portray this through the video that you need to switch so nothing bad happens to you.

Direct TV was very affective in their video “Stop Taking in Stray Animals.”  They make their advertisements funny and entertaining.  Toward the end of the video, Direct TV states that “You don’t want to end up with a house full of stray animals, so switch to Direct TV.”  Although this is something that is not likely to happen, they still say that if you switch to them than it won’t happen to you.  While they’re aren’t coming out and saying they care about their customers they do.  Secondly, during the video Direct TV does a good job in portraying cable as bad and stressful.  Cable is Direct TV’s competition.  Direct TV makes cable look bad influencing cable customers to switch companies.  Overall, Direct TV did a good job in their advertisement.
