Media Bias

Throughout my blog post, I will be talking about both temporal and fairness bias.  Temporal bias is expressed regularly throughout my video.  We all know that the presidential election is approaching and that Mitt Romney and President Obama have partook in some debates.  During my video the reporters regularly talk about how the debates have not been very good and they frequently discuss how many voters have given serious thought, or already have changed their minds in which they are going to vote for.  While the news reporters are also voters and they also take part in who wins the election; they seem to be choosing Romney’s side.  They might not realize how much they are pointing out who they would like to be voted into office, but they are through both their actions and questions.  They mostly ask questions about how many people are switching candidates.

Secondly, I am going to talk about commercial bias.   This video presents one of the biggest events that are going on in the United States right now.  How can they not cover it? They can’t.   The news media already know that if they display something that is this popular that they are going to come out with very good results.  Mostly the whole United States is involved in this or knows about it.  Commercial bias is presented all over the video.    It is present through the reporters talking about the election, who they think is winning the election, and how many people have switched candidates after seeing the first debate.  Every four years this occurs and nobody ignores the subject.  This decides who will help our country out in the later years. If the news media knows that everybody is going to participate in the event and that outcome of readers and the outcome of readers and viewers will be exceptionally high they will display it.
